As a school built on and relying on the support from our community, there are many opportunities for you to participate in the growth of students at Sarnia Christian School. Whether in our school or at one of our popular fundraising activities, your talents are most welcome!

 

 

Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP)

TRIP is an important fundraiser at Sarnia Christian School that runs during the school year. All parents are expected to participate, and extended family and friends are also encouraged to use it.

 

This is a gift certificate purchasing program in which the school can raise money, at no cost to yourself. Gift certificates are purchased in bulk, and in return, the school earns a percentage of the face value of the gift certificates. The school keeps 60% of this as revenue and gives 40% back to the individual family in the form of a tuition reduction.

Sarnia Christian School’s new Fine Arts wing, completed in 2016, has opened a new world of possibilities for staff and students, changing the way students learn and staff teach.

 

• The new multi-purpose room allows students to learn in small and large groups
• The new kitchenette space has improved students’ culinary skills
• The new learning pods help students who require focus and quiet spaces
• The new library has enhanced student literacy and allowed us to hire a librarian
• The new piano room and musical instrument storage room have heightened students’ love for musical arts
• The new welcoming and spacious atrium has resulted in new spaces for students to learn and community members to congregate

 

If you have yet to see the results of our paradigm-shifting project in action, please stop by and we will warmly welcome you to explore every area.

 

...But There Is Still Much to Rejuvenate

• Windows still need replacement.
• HVAC units have been replaced, but others are still very old.
• Our former entrance and offices need to be transformed into learning spaces.
• Doors in our classroom wing were designed to keep students and thoughts in, not to spur an educational revolution.
• Old cladding requires replacement and repairs.
• Computer labs from the 1990s should have stayed there.
• Classrooms lack environments that are suitable for dynamic, hands-on learning.
• Putting on coats and boots is often chaotic.

 

Rejuvenate & Rejoice: Our Final Phase

We are thrilled to present to you the final phase of Sarnia Christian School’s 21st century learning capital project. Upon completion, it will transform rectangular spaces into energetic learning centres; outdated building features will become cost-saving educational assets.

 

The total estimated cost for this final phase is $1.4-million and with your help we will give the leaders of tomorrow the tools they need today.

 

 

Sarnia Christian School is a charitable organization which receives no government funding for the education services we provide. Therefore, we rely on the financial support and generosity of our families and community who have made it possible for our students to receive a Christian education. Donation receipts will be issued in March for all eligible funds received during the previous calendar year.
